Community Initiatives!
How do I interact with art within the community, outside of making me own pieces? In my spare time, I enjoy volunteering, seeking out opportunities to deepen my knowledge, and working at local art galleries.

National Art Honor Society
I am a proud member of my school's National Art Honor Society. I was inducted at the end of my junior year; and since then, I've worked to helped with set designs for school shows and help take commisions for our community.

Sotheby's Art Institute Art History Program
Summer of my junior year, I travelled to New York to attend the Art History program at Sotheby's. Over the course of two weeks, I solidified my knowledge of global art history.

Gallery Sitting
In January 2025, I had the pleasure of working at the Pierre Lorinet Collection in New Bahru. Through this two month long experience, I gained a deeper understanding of art as a career and the curation and maintenance of exhibitions. I connected with the Singapore art scene, meeting many wonderful experts in the field.

Yeo Workshop Partnership
In the beginning of my senior year, I partnered with Singapore's Yeo Workshop. I worked on making supplemental graphs, socmed posts, and giving tours to guests.

Red Pencil
I have been volunteering at The Red Pencil—a Singaporean organization focused on art therapy and making it more accessible to the general public—for three years since 2022. As someone interested in both psychology and art, this intersection between the two was amazing to see. I helped with organizing galas and promoting the cause for fundraising.

CCIR Research Program
A research program on art and colonialism in Mediterranean history where I was able to learn more about how culture and trade influenced art in history. I researched how the British occupation in Singapore influenced art.

Tufts Painting PreCollege
In summer of 2023, I attended a three week long painting PreCollege at Tufts university where I had the opportunity to explore new mediums—including animation and 3D design—as well as refine my oil painting and char.
